PURPOSE:To maintain a sensation of comfortable operation, by constituting a swash plate for control so as to be compensated to the desired one conformed to operating physical force of a speed change level by a lever sensor, a swash plate sensor and an engine speed sensor. CONSTITUTION:A swash plate angle of a hydraulic continuously variable transmission 1 is changed by operating a speed change lever 4 for rotation, while rotation of an input shaft of the hydraulic continuously variable transmission 1 to be transmitted and rotated from the engine side is speed-changed to an output shaft, thus transmission and rotation take place. At this time operating physical force of the speed change lever 4 is detected by a lever sensor 5, the swash plate angle is detected by a swash plate sensor 6, and furthermore engine speed is detected by an engine speed sensor. And, under these operating conditions, the swash angle is controlled so as to go along the desired swash plate angle under the preset compensation control. Therefore, accurate hydraulic continuously variable speed operation can be done by the speed change lever 4, so that a sensation of comfortable operation is maintainable.
