VEHICLE POSITION DETECTOR

PURPOSE:To enable the setting of coordinates at a starting point simply and automatically, by transmitting a locality data at the starting point by a locality data transmitting means using a wireless signal. CONSTITUTION:A wireless transmitter 10 is set at a starting point to transmit a locality data at the starting point. A wireless receiver 21 is carried on a vehicle and receives and transmits the locality data to a vehicle position computing circuit 24 when the vehicle passes by the starting point. The vehicle position computing circuit 24 calculates a vehicle position data based on the locality data, an ongoing azimuth of the vehicle detected with a bearing sensor set on a roof of the vehicle and a running range signal detected with a running range sensor 23.
