PURPOSE:To reduce the volume of intermediate working data and its processing time by forming the set of combined result directly from two sets. CONSTITUTION:A retrieving means 1 retrieves a data record satisfying respective retrieving conditions of two sets. On the other hand, a combining relation recognizing/storing part 2 obtains combining relation from a program formed by a user and recognizes and stores the relation. A single coupling executing means 3 reads out records included in the set determined by the means 1 from a data base 102. Then, the means 3 rearranges the records in the order of coupling keys in accordance with the combining relation stored in the storing means 2. Consequently, the volume of the intermediate working data and its processing time can be reduced.
