PURPOSE:To insert an optical fiber into a thin and long tube without damaging the fiber by applying lubricant to the surface of the fiber and inserting the fiber into the tube at the time of inserting the fiber from one end of the tube into the tube with a gap. CONSTITUTION:A mount 11 is rigidly fixed on a floor face 9, coil springs 18 for supporting an oscillation table is fixed to four corners on the upper face of the mount 11 and the disk-like oscillation table 14 is set up on the coil springs 18. Oscillation motors 21, 22 are fixed on a supporting frame 15 for supporting the table 14 so as to be inclined by 75 deg. from the surface of the table 14 respectively in the reverse directions. Unbalanced weights 24 are fixed on both the ends of the rotary shafts of the motors 21, 22 to apply oscillation force in the oblique direction from the surface of the table 14. A bobbin shaft is made to coincide with the center axis C of the table 14 and the tube into which the optical fiber 7 is to be inserted is wound around the bobbin like a coil to supply the fiber 7 into the tube 1. At that time, carbon powder L to be lubricant is dropped from a lubricant feeder 59 to a cylindrical part 56, and while applying the lubricant L to the surface of the fiber 7 and oscillating the fiber 7, the fiber 7 is inserted into the tube 1. |
