PURPOSE:To improve the heat resistance of a device to the heat from a combustion chamber and lengthen lifetime by a method wherein the thicker inner wall sides at the bottom parts of water pipes near the combustion chamber at least are swelled with solder material. CONSTITUTION:In a water heater of, what is called, 1-boiler 2-circuit type, swelled parts 8 are formed with solder material on the thick inner wall sides at the bottom parts B of water pipes 6b located at the bottom row which consist of the heat exchanging part of a circulation circuit Y for additional burning of a bath 7. For instance, when hot water is supplied by means of a hot water supply circuit X and the additional burning is not carried out, burning is carried out under such a condition that water stagnates or in some cases there is not water in the pipes 6b of the circuit Y, however, the bottom walls are thickened by the parts 8 and then the durability against high temp. oxidation corrosion or heat deterioration due to heat history is increased to be able to lengthen the life of a device.
