PURPOSE:To save the switching of an address space and to attain a high speed by transferring data between a real machine and a virtual machine as the data on the real machine on the real machine. CONSTITUTION:The address space of the virtual machine is made resident in the successive area of a real memory as a virtual main storage, the leading address on the real memory of the virtual main storage is defined to be the boundary address VM-BAR of a virtual machine and one obtained by adding the VM-BAR of the virtual machine in a process for converting the logical address of the virtual machine to an absolute address is selected in a selector 8 and a page table 5 is designated. Further, when a VM flag is set to a register 3, the VM-BAR stored in a register 2 added to the leading address of a page is selected by a selector 9 to designate a page 10.
