PURPOSE:To prevent a sample liquid from being accumulated in the percolation region even if a large quantity of the sample liquid is fed to a porous member via a guide pipe by applying the function as a splitter to the portion of the porous member. CONSTITUTION:A sample liquid guided into an ionization chamber 3 from a liquid chromatograph via a guide pipe 7 is injected into a porous member 10 and moved in its interior, and part of it is percolated to the portion of a primary beam passing hole 14 (primary beam radiation region 10a) not in contact with a cap 12. On the other hand, the other sample liquid is percolated from other faces of the porous member 10 (e.g., side face 10b and rear face 10c) and accumulated in the cap 12. The sample liquid injected into the porous member 10 via the guide pipe 7 is separately percolated to the primary beam radiation region 10a and other faces 10b, 10c, thus the porous member 10 serves as a splitter. Accordingly, even if the limit quantity for balance or more of the sample liquid is fed via the guide pipe 7, excessive sample liquid is not accumulated in the region 10.
