PURPOSE:To reduce the number of necessary parts by forming a separator for half division in the radial direction in a communication pipe and installing a valve in one half part of a passage, thus avoiding the necessity of installing two communication pipes having different sectional area. CONSTITUTION:A resonator 1 has a resonator chamber 1a and a connection port 1b communicating to the resonator chamber 1a. The resonator 1 is connected with the connection port formed in an intake passage part of the upstream side of the air cleaner of an engine through a communication pipe 5. A separator 6 for half division in the radial direction is installed in the communication pipe 5, and a valve 8 which is opened and closed by an actuator 9 is installed in one half part of the passage which is formed by the division by the separator 6 in the communication pipe 5. The actuator 9 is moved in correspondence with the negative pressure of an intake manifold.
