摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent an engine to stop when effecting abrupt braking in interruption of fuel supply for speed reduction, by releasing the interruption of fuel supply when a period of time elapsed between vehicle speed pulses is greater than a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:Signals from a throttle sensor 5, an absolute pressure sensor 8, a vehicle speed sensor 16 and the like are applied to a control unit 5 so that fuel injection from fuel injection valves 6 are cut when a throttle opening an r.p.m. and pressure in a suction pipe comply with prescribed conditions. Then, a period of time elapsed from a time a pulse signal is applied to a time a next pulse is applied is measured. When the period of time is greater than a prescribed value, it is determined that abrupt braking is applied to release the interruption of fuel supply, whereby an engine is prevented from stopping.
