PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition, containing specific particulate and scaly aluminum powder and suitable for electrostatic coating of automobiles, household appliances, etc. CONSTITUTION:The aimed composition obtained by containing (A) particulate aluminum powder having <=100mum major axis (a) and relations of a>b>c and 1<=a/c<=5 (b is the minor axis and c is the thickness) with (B) scaly aluminum powder having relations of a>b>c and a/c>5 in a metallic coating material composition. Furthermore, the component (A) is contained in an amount of >=3wt.% based on the total amount of the aluminum powder.
