PURPOSE:To enable a check metal piece and a coupler plate to be inserted according to the deformation of metal receiver by a method in which slits are formed in a check metal piece, a coupler plate, or both of the two, or they are made into a split form to provide flexibility for the check metal piece. CONSTITUTION:A coupler is made up of a C-shaped cylindrical metal receiver 1 with slits 11 which is connected with the horizontal reinforcing bars of a reinforcing bar cage for a preceding wall and coupler plates 3 connecting a bar or tubular check metal piece 2 inserted into the receiver 1 which checks the coming-out in the direction of crossing the insertion direction, the receiver 1, and lap beams 4. The plates 3 are fixed in an intermittent manner to impart a flexibility following deformation of the receiver 1 to the check metal piece 2. Slits are provided for the peripheral side of the metal piece 2, the face of the plates 3, or both of these, or the check metal piece is divided into rectangular divided pieces which are integrated into a coupler plate 3.
