PURPOSE:To make it possible to release the heat accumulating material of super- cooling without accompanying deterioration by cooling a latent heat accumulating material locally down to below the limit temperature of its super-cooling. CONSTITUTION:If, with a switch 6 closed and an electric heater 6 energized, a latent heat accumulating material 4 is heated through a vessel 2 up to a temperature over the phase change temperature and then it is left as it is, the heat accumulating material 4 is kept at a temperature that is higher than the limit temperature of super-cooling by a heat insulation layer 3, and holds its latent heat in the state of super-cooling. Next, when a switch 15 is closed and an electronic cooling element 9 is energized, the temperature of a cooling section 11 drops and the section which is in contact with the end section 12 of the heat accumulating material 4 is locally cooled by the end 12 of the cooling section. In this case if the temperature of cooling of the heat accumulating material 4 is brought down to below the limit temperature of the super- cooling, the state of super-cooling is removed and it solidifies. And, this action is extended to the whole of the heat accumulating material 4 to cause it to release the heat that is held. A switch 16 is opened right after the super-cooling of the heat accumulating is locally released, and the cooling of the heat accumulating material by an electronic element 9 is stopped. |
