Arranged in the arm (1) of an industrial robot (not shown) is a braking motor (2) whose flange-mounted gearing (3) pivots by its shaft (4) a carrier (5) with grippers for workpieces or tools about 180 degrees from a picking-up position A to a working position B. The shaft (4) is mounted by means of bearings (6) in a gear casing (7) of the arm (1). On the inside, the gear casing (7) has bearing eyes (8) for a torque support (9) of the gearing (3). A bolt (10) passed through the bearing eyes (8) carries an eyelet with a bolt passed through the torque support (9) and intended for springs which bear against the torque support (9) from both sides and hold it between the eyelet and an adjustable clamping nut of the guide bolt. By means of these springs, the gearing (3) is mounted in an easily yielding manner in the gear casing (7) connected to the arm (1). <IMAGE>
