PURPOSE:To gather measurement data at an optional place and at an optional time according to an object of measurement by recording image pickup data which is measured by a portable image pickup device provided with a filter having transmission wavelength corresponding to the object of measurement on a storage medium. CONSTITUTION:The portable image pickup device 1 is provided with a speech input means 3, the storage medium 4 where image pickup data, etc., are recorded, the filter 2 which has the transmission wavelength corresponding to the object of measurement in front of a front part or internal image pickup element 1, etc. This image pickup device 1 picks up an image of a char bed 8, a supercharger 9, etc., to be measured from the window part 6a of a recovery boiler 6 which burns, for example, black liquid 7 and the measurement state is inputted by voice through the speech input means 3, so that various data are stored on the storage medium 4. Then the storage medium 4 is mounted on a display means 5 and the recorded data are displayed and reproduced to monitor the object of measurement. Further, the heat image pattern of an optional state can be measured at an optional place and at an optional time and the measurement data are easily stored.
