The invention relates to a leakage-water drain at a cutting drum (having an internal spray nozzle arrangement) of a winning or heading machine and the like, a leakage-water space being provided in the interior of the cutting drum. The leakage water from the pressure-water feed and distribution system serving to load the spray nozzles collects in the leakage-water space. The leakage-water space is connected to the outer atmosphere via a leakage-water drain. Located in this leakage-water drain is an elastically resilient seal (23) which preferably consists of several sealing discs (24) arranged one above the other to form a disc stack. The sealing discs (24) are each provided with at least one passage, preferably a slot (25) or the like, opening under the leakage-water pressure. This seal prevents dirty water or the like from being able to penetrate into the cutting drum from outside, but the leakage-water discharge from the leakage-water space of the cutting drum is still ensured. <IMAGE>
