The device illustrated and described is a sanitary single-lever mixer tap with an operating handle (10) and control elements formed by at least one fixed valve-seat disc (4) and one control disc (3) arranged in a manner which allows it to be moved on the valve-seat disc (4), the valve-seat disc (4) having two inlet openings (5, 6) for hot and cold water and the control disc (3) having a deflection chamber (12) interacting with the inlet openings (5, 6) of the valve-seat disc (4). In the usual temperature ranges of the mixed water, which cover a so-called comfort zone, and hence in the corresponding central positions of the operating handle (10), the free cross-section of flow in the region of the inlet opening (6) for the cold water is at least partially reduced by means of the deflection chamber (12) in comparison with the inlet opening (5) for the hot water. In the sanitary single-lever mixer tap according to the invention, the control disc (3) is of conventional design. The desired hydraulic asymmetry is achieved by the fact that the inlet opening (5) for the hot water is larger than the inlet opening (6) for the cold water. <IMAGE>
