PURPOSE:To improve operability, by enabling the control of ON/OFF of display in which a content remains unchanged and the switching control of a reception channel, etc., to be performed out of dedicated control being performed by designating a slave picture plane in a period of monitor lock. CONSTITUTION:The control execution means of a control circuit 24 discriminates that the video signal of a first slave picture plane is designated to which signal, a reception video signal by a tuner 8 or external input video signals 10a-10c, and executes the control in which the content of the video signal of an output terminal 21 remains unchanged according to the following prohibition cancellation (1) and (2). (1) If the slave picture plane is the reception video signal, the prohibition of the acceptance of the dedicated control except the change of the content of the slave picture plane, and the switching control of the channel are cancelled. (2) If the slave picture plane is the external video signal, the prohibition of the acceptance of the dedicated control except the change of the content of the slave picture plane, and the switching control of the channel are cancelled.
