The pressure reservoir is connected to the brake circuits between the master cylinder and the wheel brakes. During the antilocking mode the feed from the master brake cylinder is blocked and the pressure used from the reservoir to feed the modulating valves which pulse the brake pressure. The pressure reservoir provides an enhanced brake pressure w.r.t. the pressure from the master brake cylinder. The pressure reservoir is linked to the master brake cylinder and is fed from the brake servo. Locking is sensed by electronic wheel sensors the outputs of which are processed to control individual brake cylinders. ADVANTAGE - No pulsing action fed back through master brake cylinder to brake pedal. Improved brake control.
