The invention relates to a device on an apparatus working underground for driving pipelines having a preferably inaccessible nominal cross-section, the excavated material cleared by an excavating head (3) by means of an excavating disc (15) being conveyed back in the direction of a shaft (10) inside the apparatus (1) along a conveying tube (19), and a lock part (21) being provided in the area of the conveying tube (19). The lock part (21) consists of annular bellows (21) expandable by means of a fluidic medium. The expansion can be set to desired cross-sections of passage by means of metered quantities of the fluidic expansion medium in the annular bellows (21). <IMAGE>
