Sliding ring seal

Sliding ring seal for sealing the cooling water pumps of motor vehicles with a sliding ring 1, a clamping ring 2 and a spring 3, as well as a counter-ring 4 and a jacket ring 5. The clamping ring has an intermediate section 21 in the manner of a rolling bellows. A section 23 of the clamping ring is clamped in radially between the end coils 31 of the spring and the sliding ring. The spring has on the other side an end coil 34 with a smaller diameter which is located like a retaining ring radially resiliently in an annular groove 61 of the shaft 6. A transition region 33 of the spring engages positively in a recess 22 of the clamping ring. The jacket ring, which is inserted in the roller bearing outer ring 7, projects axially beyond the end face and with its radial bead 51 radially beyond the outer surface 71 of the roller bearing outer ring. The counter-ring has a conical transition surface 42 between its narrow sliding sealing surface 41 and its outer circumferential surface 43. <IMAGE>
