Hot vertical cross-rolling mill for large and extra large seamless tubes, consisting of a main machine and auxiliary equipment, the main machine comprising a drive motor, a variable-speed gear and a machine head of the multi-roll vertical cross-rolling mill and the machine head first of all having three oblique cylinders which are distributed uniformly around the rolling centre line and can each be rotated about a fixed axis running parallel to the centre line in order to set the so-called feed angle, and mounted in each of the oblique cylinders there being furthermore a tapered roll and these driven rolls being synchronously rotatable about their own axis, and the angle of intersection between the roll axis and the rolling centre line, i.e. the cross-rolling angle, being approximately 30-50@ and the apex angles of the tapered rolls being in each case about 10-50@ while the auxiliary equipment consists of a semicantilever mandrel, a centering device for the mandrel, a roller V-rest and a retractable mandrel-bar mechanism. <IMAGE>
