PURPOSE:To widen the width of a change in light reflectivity with respect to a transfer temp. and to improve reading-out accuracy of information by forming a recording film consisting of a specific compsn. on a substrate of an optical recording medium. CONSTITUTION:The recording film 2 and a protective film 3 are provided on the substrate 1 of the optical recording medium, the phase of which is changed by projection of a laser beam or the like thereto. The recording film 2 is formed of the compsn. consisting of Te, Ti, Ag, Se, In, and Sn. The recording film 2 is preferably formed of the compsn. expressed by the compsn. formula [Te(100- x-y-z-a-B).Ti(x).Ag(y).Se(z).In(a).Sn(b)] (where x, y, z, a, b are molar %, 0<x<=20, 0<=y<=3, 0<z<=50, 0<a<=30, 0<b<=20, x+y+z+a+b<100). Thermal transfer takes place at about 100 deg.C and the reflectivity increases by about 15% if the film is formed of such compsn. formula. The width of the change in the reflectivity with the transfer temp. is widened and the information reading-out accuracy is improved by compounding In and Sn with the conventional compsn. consisting of Te, Ti, Ag, and Se. |
