PURPOSE:To make it possible to continue the control of the attitude of a vehicle always in a stable condition by detecting abnormal one among a plurality of sensors for detecting the behavior of the vehicle, and by substituting a detected value from thus detected abnormal sensor into a detected value by a normal sensor. CONSTITUTION:An active suspension is provided therein with a plurality of actuators A1 through A4 disposed between a plurality of wheel side members and a plurality of vehicle body side members, for regulating the relative displacements therebetween, a plurality of sensors B1 through Bn for detecting the behavior of the vehicle and a control means C for controlling the actuators A1 through A4 in accordance with values detected by the sensors B1 through Bn. In this arrangement, there is provided an abnormal sensor detecting means D for detecting whether any one of the sensors B1 through Bn is abnormal or not. Further there is provided a detected value substituting means E for substituting a detected value from a sensor which has been detected as abnormal one into a value detected by another normal sensor. With this arrangement it is possible to continue the control of the attitude of a vehicle always in a stable condition. |
