PURPOSE:To obtain a polychromic make-up cosmetic in a multiple ring state, by successively repeating processes of applying a slurried material of a cosmetic base to the outer face side of a bar core material rotating at given speed while dropping the slurred material in a thin film state and solidifying. CONSTITUTION:A polychromic make-up cosmetic base is mixed with a volatile solvent (having preferably 30-100 deg.C boiling point) or melted under heating to give a slurred material. The slurred material of the cosmetic base is dropped in a thin film state from a slit of a container 10A of conduit shape of a thin-film forming device 9 on the outer peripheral face of a bar core material 2 supported by a rotary device 4 and rotating at a given speed, applied, the slurred material is made into a uniform thin layer and solidified on the outer surface of the core material 2 by vaporization of the solvent or by cooling to form a cosmetic layer. Then the above-mentioned operations are repeated by using a slurried material of a cosmetic having different color. Each layer can be formed in desired thickness and molded in a state of uniformly dispersed pigment free from color unevenness.
