A method and a device for mounting a body in a conduit containing fluid. An installation unit is mounted on the conduit at the place where the mounting of said body is desired, a seal being established in relation to the surroundings around an area, where a hole is to be made in the surface of the conduit. The hole is made in the conduit in said area while maintaining the seal in relation to the surroundings. A body can be inserted through the hole, so that the body is positioned inside the conduit.
