A pinball game is described, having a playing area, on which are arranged stop contacts (3, 4, 30) for balls which are introduced by the player and roll back past the stop contacts to an outlet (2). The outlet is flanked by flippers (7) which can be actuated by the player. In order to create the possibility of two players playing simultaneously, reacting with one another, balls of two different types are used. A sensor which responds only to one type of ball is assigned to at least some stop contacts. A circuit distinguishes the types of ball from one another by means of the sensors when a stop contact is actuated. <IMAGE>
