PURPOSE:To produce a normally excellent sound insulation effect, by a method wherein a sound insulation panel, approximately coincided with the surface shape of a car body panel, is formed by mold press molding, and a space rib is integrally formed to the back of the sound insulation panel to provide a given gap between a car body panel and an insulator. CONSTITUTION:When a method is applicable to an insulator dash 10, the insulator dash 10 is formed with a sound insulation panel 11, molded in a shape, approximately coincided with the surface shape of a dash panel 13, by using a flexible material, e.g. a PVC resin agent, s rubber agent, and a spacer rib 12, integrally formed in a protruding manner to the back of the sound insulation panel 11. The spacer ribs 12 are formed in a lattice shape or a honeycomb shape. When the tip of the spacer rib 12 is brought into contact with the surface on the indoor side of the dash panel 13, a clearance for an air layer, equivalent to the dimensional height of the space rib 12, is formed between the dash panel 13 and the sound insulation panel 11. |
