PURPOSE:To improve the conversion accuracy of an analog-to-digital signal converter by receiving a comparator output signal shaped by a Schmitt circuit, by a flip-flop executing latch holding by a synchronizing signal, and sending it to an internal gate circuit. CONSTITUTION:When a clock signal B is 'H', a gate circuit 303 sets a digital signal, this signal is converted by a D/A converter 1, and thereafter, compared with an input signal by a comparator 2, and a comparator output signal is outputted. In that case, by a rise of a clock signal B delayed by scores of 10 ns from a clock signal A, a Schmitt shaping signal obtained from the compara tor output signal is latched, outputted as an output signal of a flip-flop circuit 302, sent to the gate circuit 303, and a data in set. In such a way, the timing of a signal inputted to the gate circuit 303 always becomes constant, and the cause of a malfunction of the gate circuit 303 is eliminated.
