PURPOSE:To improve the atomization of fuel by a method wherein a main suction path and an auxiliary suction path, through which only air passes, are provided and the opening degree of the throttle of the main suction path is reduced while the amount of air, reduced in the throttle of the main suction path, is compensated by an opening degree control means provided in the auxiliary suction path. CONSTITUTION:An electric heating body 11 is incorporated inbetween a throttle body 7 and an intake manifold 10 and the main suction path 7a and the auxiliary suction path 7b, bypassing the main suction path 7a, are constituted independently in the throttle body 7. A main throttle valve 8 is incorporated into the main suction path 7a while an auxiliary throttle valve 14 is incorporated into the auxiliary suction path 7b as the opening and closing control means. Upon cold starting, the opening degree of the main throttle valve 8 for the main suction path 7a is controlled to the opening of 50 deg., for example, and the required amount of air is introduced through the auxiliary suction path 7b when a larger output is requested. |
