PURPOSE:To obtain a plurality of the same printing results by one paper without changing data transmission, by constituting the title printer so as to add copy printing function for printing a plurality of the same character rows at the different printing positions on the same line of paper. CONSTITUTION:After the printing data received through an interface part 13 is temporarily shored in a receiving buffer 15, the character pattern based on said printing data is taken out of CG 16 to be developed on a printing buffer 17. In this case, the character pattern taken out from CG 16 is successively developed on the printing buffer 17 at every one character. When the development of the character pattern of one line on the printing buffer 17 is finished, a printing mechanism part 19 is controlled through a printing operation driving part 18 and the printing of the character pattern of one line is started. When a plurality of the same printing results are obtained by one paper, copy printing is indicated by the operation of a copy printing switch 21. When this copy printing is indicated, CPU 11 becomes a copy printing mode state and, thereafter, copy printing processing is performed until the copy printing mode is released. By this method, a plurality of the same printing results can be obtained by one paper without changing data transmission.
