PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive body which has a less tendency to recrystallization and large affinity to a binder resin and is uniformly and highly dispersed with a perylene pigment and has high electric resistance and good charge holding property by using a specific perylene compd. to form an electric charge generating material used for an electrophotographic sensitive body. CONSTITUTION:The charge generating material used for the electrophotographic sensitive body is the perylene compd. expressed by formula I. In formula I, R<1>, R<2> and R<3> are equally or differently selected from a hydrogen atom, alkyl group or aryl group which may have a substituent, and at least one thereof is an alkyl group of >=3 C. The charge generating material for the high- sensitivity electrophotographic sensitive body which has the less tendency to recrystallization, has not only the good dispersibility with various binder resins, etc., but also high electric resistance of the photosensitive layer as the photosensitive body of a lamination type and has the good charge holding property is thereby obtd. |
