PURPOSE:To make a dot printer small in size, by a method wherein, partition plates slidably holding dot printing pens are disposed on one side face of a substrate, and a pen drive means is disposed on the other side face of the substrate positionally corresponding to a pen holding chamber formed by the partition plates. CONSTITUTION:A solenoid 5 applied with a signal from a control circuit is excited, and a pen drive plate 7 is pulled by a plunger 6 against the tension of a spring 13, whereby a dot printing pen 13 is protruded forwards by being supported by a fulcrum 11. A porous body 16 disposed at the tip end of the dot printing pen abuts against a corrugated board, carton, etc., whereby an ink impregnated in the porous body 16 is transferred to the surface of the corrugated board, carton, etc. By successively repeating the printing by the selection of the solenoid 5, desired letters, characters, and others are printed. In this manner, an easy replacement of dot printing pen, a simple-construction drive means, and a lower cost are made possible, resulting in cost reduction. |
