PURPOSE:To clarify boundaries by satisfying specific relations between the distance between light emitting elements and an image carrier and the pitch of adjacent light emitting elements to position the light emitting elements. CONSTITUTION:An erasing array 20 is provided which consists of plural light emitting elements 25 close to the lengthwise direction along a revolving shaft on an image carrier 2 of an image forming device, and with respect to this erasing array 20, a casing 26 having window holes 27 is stuck to the surface of a substrate 24 on which respective light emitting elements 25 are directly bonded at a prescribed pitch in the lengthwise direction and a transparent dustproof film is stuck to the surface of this casing. In this case, light emitting elements and the image carrier 2 are so positioned that they satisfy a relational formula 1/2Y<=X<=2Y where X is the distance between light emitting elements 25 and the image carrier 2 and Y is the pitch of adjacent light emitting elements. Since the distance between light emitting elements 25 and the surface of the image carrier 2 is so set that overlapped parts of transmitted light are always kept proper, boundaries are clarified. |
