PURPOSE:To permit developing process of both a direct positive silver salt sensitive material and color negative silver salt sensitive material by providing a change-over means for changing over processing stages adaptive to two kinds of the silver salt sensitive materials. CONSTITUTION:This device has the means 40 for changing over the processing devices. The direct positive or color negative sensitive material subjected to image exposing is conveyed along a 2nd branch conveyance 104 constituted of guide plates 65, 87. The conveyance speed changes from a high-speed conveyance to low-speed conveyance speed near the point where the front end of the sensitive material enters conveyance rollers 85, 86. A change-over guide 147 of the means 140 is oscillated around a shaft 148 by the signal detecting the kind of the sensitive material so that said guide is changed over as shown by a solid line in the case of the direct positive sensitive material and as shown by an alternate long and two short dashes line in the case of the color negative sensitive material. Finishing of a positive copied image from both the positive original and negative original is thereby permitted.
