PURPOSE:To always keep the size of an image erase part constant to obtain a stable image erasing performance by providing a means which variably adjusts the width of transmitted light from each light emitting element. CONSTITUTION:A casing 26 having window holes 27 is stuck to the surface of a substrate 24 on which respective light emitting elements 25 are directly bonded at a prescribed pitch in the lengthwise direction and a transparent dustproof film 28 is stuck to the surface of the casing 26 to constitute an erasing array 20. In this case, window holes 27 of the casing 26 are provided with means 29 which variably adjust the width of transmitted light from respective light emitting elements 25. For example, opaque coated film parts 28a and 28a are printed on the dustproof film 28, which is stuck to the surface of the casing 26 to cover the window hole 27 and to form a transparent slit part 29 extending in the lengthwise direction, and a width W of the slit part 29 is adjusted in accordance with luminance. Thus, the size of an image erasing range A on a photosensitive drum 2 is kept constant. |
