PURPOSE:To effectively impart slackening removing back tension even to an endless ink ribbon, by providing an intermediate plate between the upper and lower wall surfaces of an ink ribbon cassette and providing a tension lever to said intermediate plate. CONSTITUTION:A tension lever 19 is pivotally supported in a rotatable manner by the pin 15a protruding from an intermediate plate 15 toward an upper case 12. A guide roller 19a is provided to the free end of the tension lever 19 in a state limited in rotation. The guide roller 19a passes through the hole provided to the intermediate plate 15 by drilling to protrude toward a lower case 11 and guides an ink ribbon 13 and imparts slackening removing back tension to the ink ribbon 13. The protruding end 19b of the tension lever 19 is engaged with a ribbon locking lever 20 and, when the tension lever 19 moves in the direction shown by an arrow A by taking up the ink ribbon by predetermined quantity, a ribbon locking pawl 18 is detected to release the locking of the ribbon. By this method, the ribbon is drawn out from a receiving part 14 by a predetermined quantity. |
