PURPOSE:To offer a telephone service convenient for telephone reply in a home or the like by adding a telephone function, providing a portable transmitter, listening a reception signal sent from a caller side by a speaker and sending a transmission signal from a reception side to the caller side via the microphone of the portable transmitter. CONSTITUTION:When a telephone call comes, an incoming forming means 19 rings, an incoming detection means 20 detects a call signal, its output controls a voltage controlled transmitter 0 by the controller 8 of a tuner section 5 to be turned to a radio wave sent from the portable transmitter. On the other hand, the user recognizes an incoming call to turn on the power switch 35 of the portable transmitter. In this case, a radio wave being the result of modulating a pilot signal generated by a pilot signal generating circuit 29 is sent from a radio transmission section 30. It is received and demodulated by a radio reception section 1 and when a pilot signal detection means 21 detects the pilot signal, switching means 24, 25 are driven by a driving circuit 22 to close a DC loop between the telephone circuit and a 2/4-wire converting circuit 16, and the loudspeaking means 2 and the radio reception section 1 are separated respectively and connected to a reception signal output terminal 16a and a transmission signal input terminal 16b of the conversion circuit.
