PURPOSE:To prevent short circuit caused by piercing a separator in the in- container formation of a non-charged battery by adding tin ions to an electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:Tin ions are contained in an electrolyte, and in-contaier formation is conducted. For example, a battery using electrolyte containing 3-5g/l SnSO4 has a PbO2 content of 80% or more and the 5hR capacity is similar to the rated capacity and the formation state is good. By containing tin ions in the electrolyte, a charging defective rate in the in-container formation decreases. Therefore, the advantages in industry are increased. |
