PURPOSE:To perform photoacoustic measurement within a short time, by mounting a continuous laser beam generating means and a means for sweeping a laser beam irradiation point along a specimen. CONSTITUTION:A motor 3 is continuously rotated to determine the sweep speed of a reflecting member 2, a voltage mu-factor 9, the data collection time of an A/D converter 10, and the information continuity length at a measuring part, and the data specimen is dripped on a plate 5c to perform initial setting. Laser beam is reflected by the reflecting member 2 and detected by a detector 6a and the A/D converter 10 takes in data at a set interval. When the laser beam impinges against the specimen on the plate 5c, sound is generated to be converted to a photoacoustic signal by a converter 8 and said signal is amplified by an amplifier 9 and converted to a digital signal by the A/D converter 10 to be stored in a measuring part 11. The transmitted beam of the plate 5c is detected by a detector 6b and the sweep speed at that time is recorded and displayed to finish the first data collection. This operation is repeated nine times and data are integrated and smoothed by the measuring part 11 to display a graph on a display counter 7. By this constitution, since data can be inputted to the measuring part 11 at a high speed, a measuring time is shortened and an unstable specimen can be rapidly measured. |
