PURPOSE:To make it possible to cope with various living conditions by providing an outdoor machine with a compressor unit and heat exchanger unit which are provided with various connecting devices so as to make them mutually separable and connectable. CONSTITUTION:A compressor unit 16 is provided with a compressor 20, accumulator 21, and compressor connecting device 35, and a heat exchange unit 17 with an outdoor heat exchanger 26, outdoor blower 27, and heat exchanger connecting device 36. If the conditions of installation permit to use on the floor the compressor unit and heat exchange unit 17 as one body to function as an outdoor machine 15, the outdoor machine 15 is installed in the state that both are connected by a connecting device 18. If the conditions of installation include an obstacle, both units are separated and, for instance, the compressor unit 16 being placed on the ground level and the heat exchange unit 17 installed on a base 40 which is provided above an outer wall 38 and both units are connected by a connecting piping 33. |
