摘要 PURPOSE:To recognize a shape in a high speed without the influence of the state and the temperature on the surface of an object to be measured, by describing two light stripes, which are not parallel with each other, on a face to be measured and obtaining positions and shapes of edges of respective light stripes. CONSTITUTION:Rotary materials 13 and 23 scans laser beams from laser beam generating devices 11 and 21 to describe light stripes l1 and l2 in the center in the breadthwise direction and the longitudinal direction on a thick plate 10 respectively. These light stripes l1 and l2 are picked up by a TV camera 2, and their video signals are inputted to an edge line 3 and are made binary to obtain X and Y coordinates of both edges of light stripes l1 and l2. An operating device 1 obtains edge positions on a basis of the coordinate group of these edges. Quantities of movement of light stripes are obtained in the device 1 on a basis of data of edges and are given to reflection angle control circuits 14 and 24 to oscillate light stripes l1 and l2. Thus, the top part, the one- side edge part, the bottom part, and the other-side edge part of the thick plate 10 are irradiated, and coordinates of the circumferential edge of the thick plate 10 are stored in the list 3. The device 1 processes these coordinate information into required shape information.
