PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of the title device and to make the device lightweight and compact by providing a high frictional resistance to the peripheral surface of a rotary drum furnished with a heating element, and pressing a photosensitive material toward the peripheral surface of the rotary drum with a low-frictional resisting surface as the pressing means. CONSTITUTION:A heating drum 42 to be rotated is provided in a developing housing 41. A halogen lamp 52 is furnished in the drum 42 as the heating element, and an pressing member 43 pressed by a spring 48 is pressed on the circular surface of the drum 42. The drum 42 consists, for example, of a drum 54 made of Al and having an Si rubber layer 53 on its peripheral surface, the surface is rough, and its friction coefficient is large. Besides the member 43 is preferably made of the polyester film, polyimide film, etc., having a low frictional resistance. The photosensitive material S guided by the drum 42 is held between the drum 42 and the member 43, and conveyed by the rotation of the drum 42. By such constitution, the material S can be conveyed without necessitating use of other conveying means, hence the constitution is simplified, and the device is made lightweight and compact.
