PURPOSE:To make the potential distribution of an image sensing region uniform, and make it possible to output an excellent image signal, by supplying ground potential, via a resistor, to a ground lead surrounding at least three sides of an image sensing region, and arranging the image sensing region via the other connection wiring becoming the ground potential and a resistor. CONSTITUTION:On a first conductivity type semiconductor substrate 11, an inverse conductivity type well region 12 is formed, and on the well region 12, an almost square image sensing region 10 is formed, on the periphery of which a grounding wiring 1 is arranged. The grounding wiring 1 in this solid state image sensing device is constituted so as to surround at least three sides of the image sensing region 10, and a necessary resistor 5 is connect to obtain a potential difference to the ground. The image sensing region 10 is independently arranged from the other wirings becoming ground potential, via resistor regions 3 and 4. For example, the well region 12 between the first ground wiring grounded via the resistor 5 and a second and a third wirings 2 and 3 is made narrow by forming extending parts 13 and 14 being the portions of the semiconductor substrate 11. |
