PURPOSE:To conduct operation with high efficiency, by making a sonar display unit and a radar display unit display an object in the water and an object on the water simultaneously or either of these objects. CONSTITUTION:In a sonar transmitting-receiving unit 50 in a sonar transmitter- receiver 24, a reception signal returning from an underwater object such as a school of fish is subjected to changing-over processing for every distance and bearing around a boat itself and taken out as polar coordinate signals (r1, theta1). In a radar transmitting-receiving apparatus 30, too, on the other hand, an object on the water, such as a consort boat, can be displayed on a display unit 36a by a substantially identical operation with the one in an apparatus 20. In order to display an image of the consort boat or the like obtained by the apparatus 30, in superposition on a sonar display unit 26a, output signals (X2, Y2) of a radar transmitter-receiver 34 are transferred to a buffer memory circuit 40a to be processed thereby.
