发明名称 METHOD FOR COOLING PIPE BY STEPWISE HIGH-VELOCITY FLOW
摘要 PURPOSE:To uniformly and quickly cool a pipe to be cooled at a low cost and to stop cooling at a prescribed temp., by pressurizing a cooling liquid with the gas in a tank and passing the cooling liquid then the pressurized gas through a quickly operating stop valve at a high velocity into the pipe to be cooled. CONSTITUTION:After the cooling liquid is introduced through a cooling liquid injection port 6 into the pressurized tank 1, the pressurized gas is introduced through a gas supply port 9 into the tank 1 to pressurize the inside of the tank to about 2-7kg/cm<2>G. The pipe 18 to be cooled such as seamless steel pipe is connected to the lower part of the tank 1 via a connecting pipe 2, the quickly operating stop valve 3 of a ball type, etc., a auxiliary running pipe 4 and a clamping jig 5. The above-mentioned valve 3 is then quickly opened. The cooling liquid is thereby passed in the pipe at a high flow rate of about >=10m/sec by which the pipe 18 is uniformly and quickly cooled in both the circumferential and axial directions thereof. The cooling liquid in the pipe 18 is thereafter discharged by the residual pressure of the pressurized gas in the tank 1 to drain the pipe inside, by which the cooling is stopped midway and the heat is restored with high efficiency.
