PURPOSE:To perform highly accurate analysis not affected by the coexisting substance in a specimen, by concentrating a very small amount of the antigen or antibody in the specimen to measurable the concn. CONSTITUTION:After the antibody or antigen supported by a solid phase is reacted with the corresponding antigen or antibody in a liquid medium, the solid phase and the liquid medium are separated to remove the liquid medium. Subsequently, an eluate is added to elute the antigen or antibody reacted with the solid phase or a mixture thereof and, thereafter, the solid phase is removed from the effluent. Next, the effluent is adjusted to pH suitable for antigen- antibody reaction and subsequently reacted with an insoluble carrier particle such as latex supporting an antibody or antigen and the agglutination degree of the reaction mixture is measured optically or visually. By this method, the objective antigen or antibody is concentrated and separated from the measuring liquid medium to measure the concn. of the antigen or antibody with good accuracy.
