PURPOSE:To fix an optical fiber cord to an optical connector plug with large tensile strength by forming a projecting and recessed part on at least either of the opposite surfaces of an upper and a lower envelope and an optical fiber cord. CONSTITUTION:The optical fiber cord 1 whose jacket at the tip part is removed is inserted into the optical fiber cord insertion hole 11 of the lower envelope 12 of an optical connector plug 9 and positioned in screw grooves (projecting and recessed parts) 13 and 14. The optical fiber is pressed and clamped by the upper envelope 10 and lower envelope 12 from above and below and welded. The polyethylene of the jacket 3 of the cord 1 is deformed and positioned between the crest and trough of the screw grooves 13 and 14 and further fills the space 15 formed between the envelopes 10 and 12. The large tensile strength is therefore obtained.
