PURPOSE:To improve working efficiency, by holding an iron sheet from the same surface by a vacuum suction means and an electromagnetic attracting means in the loading work of the iron sheet for a stator core. CONSTITUTION:An iron sheet holding device 8 having two arms at the tip end is provided with a pair of vacuum suction means 5 having suction pads 5a at the tip ends of both ends and a pair of electromagnetic attracting device 6 having attracting holders 6a, which are arranged orthogonally to each other whereby the loading device of the iron sheet for a stator core is constituted. Sensors 10, 11 for detecting the vibration of the device 8 are connected to the left end of the outer periphery of the iron sheet 3. According to this method, the loading device of the iron sheet for the stator core is permitted to hold the first iron sheet, for example, by the vacuum suction means 5 and hold the second iron sheet by the electromagnetic attracting device 6 at the same plane as the plane of said suction means 5 whereby a plurality of iron sheets may be loaded at one time.
