PURPOSE:To effectively prevent a rush current from generating by adding a charger for charging a power source from another power source to the capacitor of an AC/DC converter, and applying a limit value to the charging current. CONSTITUTION:A motor IM is operated by an AC/DC converter CONV for PWM-modulating with a GTO thyristor, and a DC/AC converter INV connected to the DC side output of the converter CONV. A system having a DC unit charger of the converter CONV is controlled by a controller CONT, and an auxiliary inverter AINV is connected through a transformer TO from a rectifier RF. A storage battery BAT is connected through a contactor K to the inverter AINV, and a load LOAD is further connected thereto. Its controller CONT2 controls the inverter AINV to generate a predetermined power, and the charging voltage value of a capacitor C1 by the charger is set to a value lower than the DC voltage value when a main circuit is operated to be charged. |
