PURPOSE:To prevent an electroluminenscence (EL) luminous disc from no- emission and prevent lowering of luminance, by s method wherein the EL luminous disc is formed such that only two of a clear electrode and an electroluminenscence emitter are sealed, and a metallic plate is additionally used as the electrode. CONSTITUTION:When a menu is selected, a voltage is applied between a clear electrode 17 and a metallic plate 19, and an EL emitter 16 performs emission to display various menu letters drawn on a light transmission panel 15. When heating cooking is started, the temperature of atmosphere around an EL luminous disc 14 is increased to a high value, but the EL luminous disc 14 is formed such that only two of the clear electrode 17 and the EL emitter 16 are sealed in a clear covering member 18. The metallic plate 19 for mounting the EL luminance disc is additionally used as the other electrode. Compared with a device where two electrodes are sealed, a force by which the clear covering member 18 is unsealed is extremely lower. Since the clear electrode 17 is completely insulated from the metallic plate 19, being the other electrode, by means of the clear covering member 18, the emitter disc 14 is prevented from noemission occasioned by short-circuit occurring between the two electrodes.
